He married Nancy Ann PARTEE 7 APR 1846 in Bryan, Williams Co., OH. (Nancy Ann PARTEE is #229.) Nancy was born 2 APR 1827 in Defiance Co., OH.. Nancy⁽¹³⁾ was the daughter of Joseph PARTEE and Clarinda KIBBLE. Nancy died date unknown in Williams Co., OH, at age unknown. Her body was interred date unknown in Boynton Cem., Williams Co., OH. After Alonzo's death she married Haran Carter.

History 1876) On his tomb stone it reads Mar. 10, 1855 as died. and age 34 year which would make his birth date 1821 and different than 1817 as in the Saratoga Co. records? I believe 1817 is correct as it was taken from Saratoga Co., NY information. Alonzo C. is a younger brother of Thomas Barber. He was soon to be a Preacher in the Methodist Episcapal Church and He also was a Teacher at the Evansport School. The most strange thing about Alonzo is that his son Mariah T. died on the same day as he did.??? Per family reports or comments it was said they both died in a house fire? He was the excutor of Thomas Barber estate in 1843 as was his brother, and that he probably came with Thomas to Ohio from Saratoga Co. NY. He most likely is the one of the males in the house of Thomas Barber in the 1840 census of Delaware Twp., Williams Co., OH. Alonzo's widow Nancy Ann married Harlan Carter. He was listed as a voter in Tiffin Twp. Defiance Co., OH in 1845

He died the same day as his father, probably due to a house fire per family reports
